Transparent Bridging - Recommended Installation type - Q10005

PURPOSE: This article describes how to place your TTC server as a transparent bridge between the Internet and your internal network.

This article applies to:
  • TTC Security Server v6.0x

Transparent Bridge Example

This is the most common way to plug a Total Traffic Server into your network. Usually your outside router's internal interface is plugged into the external network interface card of the Total Traffic Server with a network cross-over cable. The Total Traffic Server's internal network interface card is in turn plugged into your internal network with a normal network cable.

Shown below is a representation of a typical configuration used to provide transparent bridging services.
