Hello and Welcome to my Wiki Page.
Thanks for looking me up. I am the Vice President, Operations. In this role I am responsible for ensuring an unparalleled customer experience – from implementation to deployment and ongoing support. My responsibilities include Customer Advocate, Technical Support, Hosted Product Support, Database and Anti-virus, Professional Development, Information Technology, Network Operations & DevOps, Facilities and many daily operations issues. I have been with Lightspeed since 2005. In my previous lives I have been a programmer, QA manager, consultant, VP of Operations , CTO, COO and Business Owner. I enjoy working at Lightspeed because I believe we make a difference in kids' lives by Empowering IT and helping Transforming Education. Lightspeed has a fun and creative work environment. You can tell I am a manager because I wear a collared shirt

Bio of John Genter 
I am the Vice President, Operations at Lightspeed, overseeing and directing the daily operations of Customer Advocacy, Customer Support, IT, Network Operations, Hosted Product Support, Database and Anti-virus, Professional Development, and Facilities teams.
In this role I am responsible for ensuring an unparalleled customer experience – from implementation to deployment and ongoing support.
I oversee the development, design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver Lightspeed Systems products/services and ensures operations at Lightspeed run efficiently and effectively. I designed and implemented Lightspeed's Quality Program and led the ISO 9001:2008 certification as well as our Safe Harbor Certification. I also currently serve as the Management Representative. Before joining Lightspeed in 2005, I was the VP of Network Operations/CTO at Arrival Communications, managing operations, overseeing budgets, supervising teams, and leading major operational projects for the $20+ million telecommunications company. I have been involved in educational endeavors my entire life. I currently serve as a member of the Norris School District Board of Trustees as well as on the Business Advisory Boards for CSUB, DeVry University, KHSD ROC, and KHSD Virtual Enterprise. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems with concentrations in business and accounting from DeVry Institute of Technology . I am also a graduate of Leadership Bakersfield. I am currently working on my PHD from the school of hard knocks
